About Me

Hi, my name is Mrs. Mary Ellen Ott and I am the Reading Specialist here at St. Angela Merici School. I started teaching in 1992 and have been at SAM School since 2011.

I live in Avon Lake, Ohio where I grew up and attended St. Joseph School and Avon Lake High School. I am married and enjoy spending time with my husband, my cat Bella, and as often as possible - my son, his wife, and my two beautiful granddaughters.

My Education

I attended John Carroll University where I earned my degree in Sociology with a Psychology Concentration. My Master’s degree is from Ashland University in Curriculum and Instruction - Literacy
