About Me

Hi, my name is Mr. Jason Werden and I am the Band teacher here at St. Angela Merici Parish School.

I grew up in Maple Heights, Ohio where I attended St. Wenceslas and Stow High School.

My wife, Ally, and I have one daughter named Charlotte and a son named Cooper. My favorite vacation spot is Kauai Island, Hawaii.

I started teaching in 2009 and also started at St. Angela that same year.

My Education

I attended the University of Akron where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and the University of Florida where I earned my Master’s degree in Music Education.

What do you love about SAM

This school is really a family. We have dedicated principals, faulty and staff, wonderful families and hard-working students. I also love being a part of SAM because this school community is very supportive of music and all of the arts.

At SAM I am the Band Director.
